Other than the image, you also get to read a short excerpt of the accompanying blog post and the profile of the blogger. Excellent implementation. Blockchain for Tracking and Verifying Prescription Drugs in US Blockchain start-up Chronicled, which links the physical and digital worlds with cryptographic identity chips and blockchain technology and recently raised $6.25M, and the LinkLab, a life sciences supply chain consultancy, have launched a serialized �track and trace� pilot for the pharmaceutical industry. The pilot launched at a one-day event in San Francisco, where the start-up gathered feedback on the launch of a blockchain-based compliance protocol for that will satisfy the Drug Supply Chain Security Act. The goal of the pilot is to build an electronic, interoperable system to identify and track prescription drugs as they are distributed in the United States. Then I went and made a liar out of myself when we didnt have a 2.5.0 release in January. For the sake of clarity I would like to let folks know that Bodhi 2.4.0 will be the last set of updated discs in our 2.x.y release cycle. That being said - our 2.x.y software repositories will keep seeing their normal software updates through the summer of 2014. After this point the 2.x.y release will be moved into "security updates only" mode. Meaning the only changes to software in the 2.x.y repos at that point will be to patch security vulnerabilities. 2.x.y will continue getting security updates until 2017 when Ubuntu 12.04 reaches its end of life. Bodhi on MK802 and other ARM Updates MK802: Today I am happy to announce our first public Bodhi images for the MK802 Android stick: This image comes with a 3.0 kernel and it has OpenGL support for MK802 GPU enabled out of the box. You can find a download link for the MK802 on the ARMHF page of the Bodhi website. The default user name is armhf  and the password is bodhilinux . This default user has sudo enabled for installing software and ssh is on by default. To use this release simply DD the provided .img file to a micro SD card, insert it into your MK802 and power it up. This image has a 1080p script.bin by default, meaning if you are trying to use this image on a screen that only supports 720p resolution you will need to replace the script.bin on the first partition of the image with the one found here. Blumpit Firefox Plugin for Touchscreens Review and Walkthrough I recently tried out a rather nifty Firefox plugin called Blumpit which is designed specifically for touchscreen devices. Blumpit is currently in alpha so it is still a work in progress but the alpha release is relatively stable and functional. My inital thoughts on Blumpit: Almost Awesome! When I say awesome I mean not just the product, but the idea. The use of a Firefox plugin to achieve the end result(ease of browsing on a touch screen) is a very novel idea and also means cross-platform compatibility. When I say almost I mean the product is still in the alpha stage and is not yet considered finished so there are plenty of rough edges. If the Blumpit team can polish it up before the final release then they will have a very slick applic ation which offers a universal touchscreen browsing experience regardless of the OS platform(as long as it runs Firefox).
