Bodhi Linux 3 0 0 Release Candidate 1 At Bodhi we work firmly on a "its ready when its ready schedule" as opposed to sticking to our set release goals and churning out something we are not happy with. Better late than never as the saying goes! Just ten days after the targeted release date I am happy to share our first Release Candidate for Bodhi Linuxs third major release: As you can see from the image our default theme has matured some (it is nearly complete in fact). For a full change log you can see my running TODO list as we work towards our 3.0.0 stable release here. Download Links 32bit  - ISO Image, MD5sum Legacy  - ISO Image, MD5sum 64bit  - ISO Image, MD5sum Chromebook  - ISO Image, MD5sum Legacy Hardware Support The most important new thing in this release is the addition of an ISO image that supports legacy hardware. The legacy ISO image features a 3.2 kernel that will work on 486 machines (or newer), including non-PAE hardwar...

Brenda Hoffman Societal Joy is Not Valid April 3 2017 Dear Ones, Even though you are aware that the current earth chaos is part of the structural destruction you have long pined for, it appears as if that destruction will continue for decades. Far too long in your mind. Instead of fearing the chaos, remember that you have both new creation skills and skills from former lives allowing you to create a different environment for yourself. Bodhi Linux 3 0 0 Beta Release Its been two months since we had our alpha release and since then Ubuntu 14.04 has released as "stable". That means the core for our upcoming Bodhi 3.0.0 release is finally stable enough for me to stamp a "beta" label onto it. For those that do not really care what I have to say and just want a download link, this beta release comes in the following three flavors: 32bit - ISO Image, MD5sum 64bit - ISO Image, MD5sum Chromebook - ISO Image, MD5sum Those looking for a change log / my TODO list for 3.0.0 please see here. All of these images are built directly on top of the latest Ubuntu 14.04 packages. The 32bit and 64bit images utilize the 3.13 Linux kernel, while the Chromebook image utilizes a 3.11 kernel due to hardware compatibility issues. The Chromebook image is tested/designed to work with the Acer C720 and HP 14" Chromebooks. It could very well work with other Chromebooks, but they have not been tested. For more informatio...

Blizzard Diablo 3 Interview Self Found Mode Ladder and more discussed The other day, a fan got to interview Wyatt Cheng and Travis Day about Diablo 3 via a live stream, below is a transcript of the interview where the team discusses a self found play mode and a possibility of a ladder system in the future. Can we see some sort of self found play mode? Wyatt:  Weve given it a lot of thought. Right now Im playing some self found Hardcore; alternating time on that and my higher level Paragon softcore characters. We like the idea of self-found, and of course players can just do it themselves, but ideally there would be some kind of recognition or insignia to denote self found characters. An issue is trying to do it without cluttering up the UI. Theres a balance between giving expert players the options they want while not complicating things for other players. (Such as with Elective Mode and advanced tool tips.) Do we want another check box on the character creation screen? I do thi...

BlueStacks 2 Pro Version 2 3 32 6228 Rooted MOD Offline BlueStacks App Player is a small application that allows you to emulate an Android device on your PC without any complications--all you have to do is install the application and you can emulate all kinds of apps within seconds. When you run the program it will ask you if you have an Android phone. If so, you can link it to the program and sync all your apps and documents with the account you are using at that moment. If, otherwise, you dont have an Android phone, it doesnt matter--you can download apps and use them anyways. To download apps, all you have to do is type the name of the one you are looking for and click the download button. Within seconds it will be ready to run on your computer. Of course, it will be your mouse that acts as your finger on all the games, thus making it possible to intuitively play Angry Birds Space, or any other free game from Google Play, for example. The program options allow you to configure both...

Bodhi Linux 3 0 0 Road Map FAQ and Donation Drive Updates The Here and Now - What is going on with Bodhi 2.x.y In September of last year I posted a notice that the Bodhi 2.x.y update release cycle would be moving to releases three times a year. Then I went and made a liar out of myself when we didnt have a 2.5.0 release in January. For the sake of clarity I would like to let folks know that Bodhi 2.4.0 will be the last set of updated discs in our 2.x.y release cycle. That being said - our 2.x.y software repositories will keep seeing their normal software updates through the summer of 2014. After this point the 2.x.y release will be moved into "security updates only" mode. Meaning the only changes to software in the 2.x.y repos at that point will be to patch security vulnerabilities. 2.x.y will continue getting security updates until 2017 when Ubuntu 12.04 reaches its end of life. The Future - Plans for Bodhi 3.x.y Our plan for major releases has always been every two years ju...

Blizzard to Shut Down Diablo 3 Auction House on March 18 2014 Blizzard has decided to shut down the Diablo 3 auction house! Below is the full announcement: When we initially designed and implemented the auction houses, the driving goal was to provide a convenient and secure system for trades. But as weve mentioned on different occasions, it became increasingly clear that despite the benefits of the AH system and the fact that many players around the world use it, it ultimately undermines Diablos core game play: kill monsters to get cool loot. With that in mind, we want to let everyone know that weve decided to remove the gold and real-money auction house system from Diablo III. We feel that this move along with the Loot 2.0 system being developed concurrently with Reaper of Souls will result in a much more rewarding game experience for our players.  Were working out the details of how the auction house system will be shut down, but we wanted to share the news as soon as we made th...

Break from 3 to 9 back after Dinner Thats what it looks like on the blog anyway. I would like those work hours, I have to admit. Bit of a break in the afternoon, going for a cup of coffee, some cake, a little rest in the garden, some starter with a dry sherry, a soup, maybe, now that its getting colder outside, a sorbet - vodka sorbet, server in a half coconut for instance - a main course with a nice glass of red wine, a bit of fruit salad with a generous helping of brown sugar and rum. And then back to work. Yeah... Im sure reports would look better in the evening. Erm. Anyway. WoW got boring. I stopped. I tried quite a few different games. New on the list were single player games that were woefully neglected during my raiding days. Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 were good. At the time of play I would have called them great, but they do suffer from "Bioware required party interaction syndrome" (thats a true medical term. Look it up!). You need to talk to your party at every...

Blizzard Community Manager Zarhym shares insight on Diablo 3 PVP source :http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/4662897696?page=2#30 Zarhym Zarhym View posts Zarhym Community Manager We want PvP to be incredibly challenging and fun, but we want to avoid turning it into a truly competitive leagues/ladders eSport. We just dont think Diablo gameplay is very conducive for that type of controlled environment where balance is paramount. That said, we want to develop PvP as an engaging and rewarding system. What we dont want to do is take a traditional eSports approach to PvP, where balance will become so important to a competitive ranking system that solo and cooperative gameplay feel a bit neutered as a result. We want your characters to feel totally imba. Then we want you to enter some Arenas, send the scorched remains of other players corpses flying, and let the satisfaction wash over you -- until your opponents take similar care of your hero, that is. ;)
