The latest of my many projects has been getting the Bodhi desktop functional on the RaspBerry Pi: This first release while having some rough edges does give you a fully functional Enlightenment desktop on top of a Debian Wheezy ARMEL base. I am providing two different downloads which you can find on our source forge page here. The first is an easy to use .img file that can be written to 4GB or larger SD card. If you dislike .img files Ive also provided tar files that contain the boot partition (which should be written to a vfat partition at the start of an SD card) and the root file system (which should be written to the second partition on a card that is extX). Bodhi Linux 2 0 1 Bug Fix Release Some of you might be slightly confused by this posting since our 2.0.0 release was published just five days ago. No piece of software is perfect and our 2.0.0 release is no exception to this. Since we released last Thursday our 2.0.0 discs have received over 15,000 downloads - a number the Bodhi team and I are extremely happy with. Bodhi Linux 3 0 0 Beta Release Its been two months since we had our alpha release and since then Ubuntu 14.04 has released as "stable". That means the core for our upcoming Bodhi 3.0.0 release is finally stable enough for me to stamp a "beta" label onto it. For those that do not really care what I have to say and just want a download link, this beta release comes in the following three flavors: 32bit - ISO Image, MD5sum 64bit - ISO Image, MD5sum Chromebook - ISO Image, MD5sum Those looking for a change log / my TODO list for 3.0.0 please see here. All of these images are built directly on top of the latest Ubuntu 14.04 packages. Bodhi Linux 3 0 0 Alpha Release As promised Ive put together our first Bodhi Linux disc that is built on top of the upcoming Ubuntu 14.04 release. Keep in mind this is a very early image not intended for production machines. There will be issues. That being said, we are very  interested in user feedback on our first couple pre-release discs for this version. Bodhi Linux Release Schedule With the recent release of Bodhi Linux 1.3.0 Ive had a few questions as to what our release cycle is exactly. Id like to take a short moment today to clarify what exactly on current release schedule looks like. Our version numbering looks something like this: x.y.z Where x represents a major release, y represents an update (or point) release and z represents a bug fix release. We have a two year major release cycle. These releases will be centered around each new Ubuntu long term support (LTS) release. Our goal is to release our new major version in the July following the release of an Ubuntu LTS. Because we have such a long major release cycle, we will be releasing our "update" releases every three months. The goal of update releases is to keep the software on the LiveCD current and continue making small improvements to the default look of the system. Bodhi Linux 2 0 0 Release Candidate A little over six weeks ago I posted about the first Bodhi Linux 2.0.0 public image. We have had three other builds release since then and today I would like to announce the availability of build 5 for download. I am stamping this build as our "release candidate" meaning that is is a stable working environment and something extremely close to this release will become our "stable"/final 2.0.0 release by the end of this month. What is missing from this release still? Of note our AppCenter is still in the process of being transitioned over to work fully with this new release. Meaning a few of the packages there might not be found yet in the 2.0.0 repositories. If you do find an application there that doesnt install properly I encourage you to let us know on our user forums. Bodhi Linux ARM Beta Release for Genesi Smartbook Edit/Update: You can find the latest release here ->  http://www.bodhilinux.com/downloads_mobile.php Much to my fianc�es dismay my little Genesi Smartbook has been occupying much of my time of the late. In fact, just six days ago I posted about how to get an early build of a Bodhi ARM file system for the Smartbook. Today I am happy to announce a more functional release for the Genesi. Audio now works and permissions have been sorted out so the normal user can shutdown the system. Beyond these bug fixes this release (and future releases) are coming in an easier install media. We will now be providing two different .img files for the Smartbook, you can find them for download here. One of the images is a live image. Use this one if you want to simply run Bodhi from your SD card. The second is an installer image. Simply boot it up, follow the on screen prompts and Bodhi will be installed to the internal SSD of the Smartbook. IMG file...

Bodhi Linux ARM Release Candidate for Genesi Edit/Update: You can find the latest release here ->  http://www.bodhilinux.com/downloads_mobile.php Early this year I posted about our beta release of Bodhi on ARM for the Genesi Smartbook. Today I would like to finally follow up that beta release with something that I consider "release candidate" quality. The hardware is 99% functional with this release including the ability to suspend the system. Other small improvements include functional "plug and play" for flash drives and a mostly functional AppCenter! There are three different downloads provided that you can find here. It is recommended you use one of the provided .img files (and check the md5sum after such a large download!). Blizzards Release Schedule Calendar Leaked No Warcraft 4! A few days ago Blizzards chinese manager have released Blizzards game release schedule calendar. In this calendar there are some interesting thins about upcoming Blizzards games. 1st Starcraft 2 expansion and Diablo 3 will be released in 4Q 2011. Also there will be more WoW expansions :) and WoW movie. But something that dont fit here is there is no Warcraft 4 :( I dont know why have Blizzard abanded Warcraft 3, they dont even release new maps on hollydays. But this may not be official Blizzards game release schedule calendar because Blizzards have not officially confirmed this, this may mean that there still is chance for Warcraft 4 :)
